Parks and Open Spaces

East London's parks and open spaces provide a great contrast to the bustle of the City.

Several parks offer cycle and nature paths. Mile End Park includes canal-side walkways and cycle routes, an ecology centre and climbing wall. Victoria Park is one of the area's biggest public parks. Outdoor events are held here in the summer, including concerts, music festivals and outdoor cinema screenings.

Several self-guided walks run alongside the canals and waterways which cross East London.

For sailing enthusiasts, clubs in Canary Wharf and Royal Docks offer sailing, canoeing, water-skiing and other water-based sports.
