Youth Afloat Dragon Boat Challenge - 20th July 2010

At the Docklands Sailing Centre, the Centre holds this challenge every year to raise money for the Youth Afloat program which it runs during the summer school holidays. All staff who volunteer for this evening are not paid and the Centre donates the BBQ food so all money taken is used by the Trust for its Youth Afloat program. There will be a presentation of trophies and medals to winning teams.

If you wish to come along to support the event a ticket can be purchased for £20.00 this gives you entry to the site, BBQ and access to the after party. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the centre or at the gate on the evening. 

To make it possible to run the progam the centre needs to raise the money through self support. Each year Youth Afloat is assisted by a grant from The Isle of Dogs Community Foundation (IDCF) and the centre must raise the remainder. This year the centre needs to raise a further £25K. So I hope you will support this event and help us to reach this years target.  Youth Afloat is for all children from the age of 8 to 16, no one is excluded.

We would of course welcome any prizes that were donated for a raffle and of course raffle sellers, the Centre will be giving 4 memberships worth £110 each as prizes. Please click here for more information.
