Supersonic Masonique Supper Club at the Andaz

2009-10-10

Open for 3 nights only; Thursday 8, Friday 9, and Saturday 10 October, 8pm - 1am

£67.50 per head; includes wine, water and cocktails

Kentucky Fried Quail, Pink Champagne Candy Floss, White Truffle Popcorn - it can only be Bistrotheque's latest temporary restaurant.  As part of the first London Restaurant Festival, Bistrotheque will create a 50-seater, 3-night only dining experience in ANdAZ Hotel's Grade I listed Masonic Temple, normally closed to the public.

ANdAZ takes a new approach to luxury hotelling.  Gone are the stuffy traditions of Jeeves & Wooster in favour of a more relaxed, down to earth experience (still with all the 5 star trimmings), and ideal for an East London knees up!  ANdAZ was built on the site of the first Bethlehem Hospital, which was a mental institution.  The hospital would open it's doors to the public to watch the freaks so to speak, where the term Bedlam originates.

"The hotel has a very diverse offering and it's time we started to show her off.  Our Masonic Temple, has been shrouded in secrecy for too long and so we welcome in the Bistrotheque team.  We are also very excited to be part of the first London Restaurant Festival - Bon Appetit."  Arnaud de Saint Exupery, General Manager, ANdAZ Hotel

"We are proud to announce our participation in the newly created London Restaurant Festival and very excited to be taking over such a legendary space - after all, Jack The Ripper was rumoured to be a member of this lodge."
Pablo Flack, Co-Proprietor, BISTROTHEQUE

Bistrotheque is celebrating its 5th year; Pablo Flack and David Waddington, who run the East End restaurant, bar, arts and cabaret space, are feted as leading restaurateurs and party hosts. "... they reinvented eating out to suit the style and energy of a new generation of cool kids"
Kate Spicer, SUNDAY TIMES STYLE
