Top Talent to Perform at Canary Wharf Comedy Club
2009-11-17
Some of the UK’s top comedy talent has been secured for the Canary Wharf Comedy Club on 17 November.
The stand-up comedy performance at the East Wintergarden features* Rob Deering, described by Metro as ‘Comedy’s man of the moment,’ Kevin Bridges, who was a hit at the recent Edinburgh Fringe Festival and JJ Whitehead and Mike Wilmot, both internationally-acclaimed comedians originally from Canada. Master of ceremonies for the evening is Maff Brown, founder of the award-winning Outside the Box Comedy Club and a former professional footballer and member of Gerard Houllier’s backroom staff at Liverpool Football Club.
“Canary Wharf Comedy Club is one of the most popular events on our calendar,” says Lucie Moore Arts and Events Manager at Canary Wharf Group plc.
“We have a loyal following of Canary Wharf workers, but I also think Londoners are becoming more aware that Canary Wharf offers some top class events throughout the year. We’re getting more and more people coming from outside the area in the evenings, especially with the new bar and restaurant openings,” she said.
